During this class, we will cook together HACHIS PARMENTIER! Similar to Shepherd's Pie or Cottage Pie, this gratin has 2 layers: beef mince or lamb ground pre-cooked with onions, carrots, peas, (corn kernels as an option) garlic, shallot and plenty of aromatics and the top layer is a creamy mash-potatoes covered with gruyere or cheddar cheese.

LIST OF INGREDIENTS:
- 1 lb of 90% Lean Beef Mince or Lamb Ground
- 1 Cup of Green Peas and 1 Diced Carrot (1/2 cup of corn Kernels optional)
- 6 to 8 Large Gold Potatoes
- 4 oz of Butter, Salt & Pepper
- 3 Cloves Garlic & 1 Cup of Chopped Onions/Shallots
- 1 tbsp of Fresh Thyme and Fresh Rosemary & 1 tbsp of Chopped Parsley
- 1 pinch of Freshly Grated Nutmeg & 2 Large Egg Yolks
- 1/2 Cup of Hot Milk and 3 tbsp of Heavy Cream
- 2 Tbsp of Flour
- 2 Tbsp of Tomato Paste
- 1/2 Cup of Guinness Beer
- 1 Tbsp of Worcester sauce
- 1/2 cup of Beef Broth
- 2 Tbsp of Dried Herbs (such as Herbs of Provence or/and Oregano)
- 2 Cups of Cheddar or Gruyere finely Grated

• 1 Chopping Board • 2 Knives • 1 Stockpot or Large Saucepan • 1 Frying Pan • 1 Oven Gratin Dish (approximately 16 inches x 9 to 11 inches) • 1 Box Grater or Flat Grater
