Welcome to Chez François kitchen, full of delicious French recipes!

Learn how to cook French cuisine with Chez François! Each online cooking class will approximately last 90 minutes and LIMITED to 10 guests so please RESERVE your seat! The fee to attend this class is $14.99 per person that you can pay via Paypal, Zelle, or Venmo

During this class, we will cook together the famous and classic Pot-au-feu, a feast of slow-cooked pieces of beef (various parts) in its delicious broth, served with root vegetables also cooked in the broth but separately. This dish is one of the most traditional recipes from France.

LIST OF INGREDIENTS:

Meat: (serving 4 people)

• 2 beef shanks with bones • 1 lb beef rump roast  • 4 marrow bones (optional) or beef oxtail • beef bones or beef ribs • veal bones and veal breast (optional and not always easy to find in supermarkets) •

Vegetables and Aromatics:

4 carrots • 4 leeks • 3 celery stalks • 2 large turnips or rutabagas • 4 gold potatoes • 1 small green cabbage or savoy cabbage •1 shallot and 1 yellow onion • 6 garlic cloves • 1 large onion poked with 9 whole cloves • salt & pepper  • olive oil • whole black pepper • 1 bouquet garni (bay leave, fresh rosemary, fresh thyme sprig, oregano or/sage, parsley) •

Garnish and Serving:

Cornichons • whole grain mustard and/or horseradish sauce • fresh parsley • fresh ginger •  sour cream (optional)
