Learn how to prepare Chocolate Tart with Chez François!
During this class, we will cook together a Chocolate tart. La tarte au chocolat is so addictive with its homemade butter pie crust and black chocolate mixture. It is absolutely delightful with some berries, fresh mint leaves, and a nice afternoon cup of tea or coffee!

Pastry: • 300 grams all-purpose flour (2 cups) • 1/2 cup of icing sugar • 150 grams of unsalted butter (1 cup) at room temperature • 3 egg yolks • Optional: 2 tbsp of buttery spread (called "Smart Balance")
For the Filling: • 2 tablets 4oz premium baking dark Chocolate (50 to 70% cocoa, unsweetened or bittersweet), coarsely Chopped • 1/2 cup of milk • 1 cup of heavy cream • 2 oz of Butter (1/2 stick) • 3 eggs
• 1 Large Bowl • 1 Fine-mesh Strainer • 1 Rubber Spatula • 1 Saucepan • 1 Medium Bowl • 1 Whisk • Baking Beans (Pie Weights) or alternatively coffee beans or dried peas such as black-eye peas (only used as weight to blind bake the crust) • Parchment Paper • 1 Tart Pan (Approx 9" Diameter)
