Cherry Clafoutis isn't a dessert you'll typically find in a French pâtisserie—it's a traditional family favorite, lovingly baked at home when fresh cherries are at their peak during the summer.

This classic French dessert features juicy fresh cherries nestled in a rich, vanilla-scented custard batter. The result is a delicious cross between a thick pancake, a light cake, and a creamy flan—simple, rustic, and absolutely irresistible.

LIST OF INGREDIENTS:

For the Custard/Batter:

  • 1/2 cup of light brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp of unsalted butter 
  • 1/2 cup of almond flour
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour
  • Salt
  • 1 tbsp of vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp of heavy cream
  • 250 ml of fresh whole milk (1 cup)
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp of baking powder

For the Cherries:

  • 2 lb of Fresh Cherries
  • Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp of unsalted butter
  • Confectioner’s Sugar (optional)
