A TRADITIONAL BEEF STEW BRAISED IN RED WINE!
Learn how to cook Boeuf Bourguignon with Chez François!
During this class, we will cook together Beef Bourguignon, the French beef stew originating from the Burgundy region (Bourgogne). Traditionally, beef and vegetables should be marinated in red wine and aromatics overnight. The marinated meat is slowly cooked in a rich red wine sauce filled with carrots, mushrooms, bacon, and pearl onions. Please note that you should allow at least 2 slow-cooking hours for the stew to be ready to serve to get tender meat!

“Dear Chez Francois, My husband and I wanted to thank you for our lovely informative cooking class with you last Saturday. It was great fun and we loved learning your secrets for the very best Beef Bourguignon ever! My husband enjoyed his flambe'ing although he was a little heavy with the cognac. And yes, the next day it was even better. I highly recommend a class with Chez Francois, you will not be disappointed!“

“Ooh lala, we had a blast! My husband and I were gifted a private cooking lesson with Francois and it was just what we needed. We were able to select our choice of recipe (we chose beef bourguignon), customize (I hate mushrooms), and get clarification on our ingredients and pans needed ahead of time, along with prep work. Francois was helpful and patient to two french cooking newbies. He made us feel comfortable as we asked questions throughout, had awesome tips, fun stories, and overall kept us smiling as we went along. The dish was INCREDIBLE and fed us for a few days. The only thing better than the food was the experience itself. My husband learned he can indeed cut onions, and I left feeling like I could conquer much more complex recipes then I would have before. Thanks Francois, it was a great activity while the kiddos slept, and we truly enjoyed learning from you. “

“We just took our 7th Zoom cooking class from Chez Francois. We've really enjoyed Chez Francois's authentic recipes. He's very talented and patient and he's from Lyon, France, the gastronomic heart of France. We've had some excellent French dinners (and chocolate mousse, too) and learned so many food-prep techniques from Chez Francois.“
